Yoga for Veterans & First Responders

More active duty military and military veterans are practicing yoga more than ever. According to the Integrative Restoration Institute, Yoga Nidra (along with yoga) are endorsed by the U.S. Army Surgeon General and Defense Centers of Excellence as a complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) for active duty military members and veterans (http://www.yogiapproved.com/yoga/5-reasons-military-veterans-practice-yoga/) .

Why you should do yoga?

Yoga can and has significant success in helping veterans find healing. Many veterans who struggle daily with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) have found relief through yoga. Even if you don’t have any PTSD, yoga can help you cope with every day life. As a veteran, Cindy knows what it’s like to learn how to move forward after separation from the military. It’s a struggle! She can help you find a purpose driven life using yoga poses, breathing, and meditation.

At Red Head Yoga, all veterans and first responders are free in group classes.
